Meet our Therapists

All our physiotherapists are Chartered (members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy) and registered with the Health Professionals Council. We continue to maintain and upgrade our clinical skills by regularly attending post-graduate education.

Russell Baragwanath
Russell qualified with a BSc(Hons) in Physiotherapy from St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington in 1994. Following this, he worked in both the NHS and private sectors, specialising in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. In 1998, he founded Ruislip Physiotherapy, Sports & Spinal Clinic, and continues to guide its development. Russell specialises in the treatment of spinal pain and sports injuries, including looking after players at Ruislip RFC. He is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine, the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics and the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.

Sara Finn
Sara gained a graduate diploma from St Mary’s school of physiotherapy in 1992. She worked as a junior rotational physio at UCLH and then briefly as a Senior 2 at Garston Manor rehabilitation hospital.
Sara then moved to live in Israel where she mainly worked at Beit Loewenstein Rehabilitation hospital specialising in neuro rehabilitation.
Sara has recently moved back to live in the UK with her family and started to work at Ruislip physiotherapy from February 2007.

Paul Gibson
Paul qualified from university in 2001 after completing 2 degrees in sports sciences at Brunel and physiotherapy from East London. Since then he has worked at Mount Vernon Hospital and at Ruislip Physiotherapy where he specializes in treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and sporting injuries. He is our specialist in lower limb biomechanics and shoulder rehabilitation.
Outside of work Paul is captain of Ruislip Rugby Club, competes for Ealing Athletics club and has developed an interest in Triathlons after completing the London race in 2006.

Sarah Kirk
Following qualifying as a physiotherapist in 2001 and achieving a Bsc Hons degree from the University of East London, I have worked for the NHS, gaining experience in a number of different areas. In more recent years I have continued to work for the NHS as a senior Physio specialising in spinal musculoskeletal conditions. I also treat private patients with a variety of conditions including back pain, sporting injuries and other musculoskeletal conditions. 

Libby Whelpton
Elizabeth (Libby) Whelpton is a Musculoskeletal & Women’s Health Chartered Physiotherapist with 35 years experience working in the NHS. She recently retired as the clinical lead in the Musculoskeletal & Women’s Health Physiotherapy Service for Brent PCT to work in private practice. As well as specializing in women’s health physiotherapy, she is a qualified clinical pilates instructor, dealing in rehabilitation for spinal pain, as well as neurotrophic treatment of Bell’s facial palsy.

She is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Women’s Health (ACPWH) and has attended specialist courses on vaginal examination, urinary incontinence and physical conditions in pregnancy. She maintains a high level of  skills in these areas by participating in lectures and workshops run by the ACPWH, pilates and acupuncture institutes.

Bryan Kelly
Bryan graduated from physiotherapy at Curtin University in Perth Western Australia in 1995, moving to the UK in 1997, where he worked in the NHS and private practice.

He has enjoyed working with several sporting teams including Australia rules football, rugby and basketball a story with a prominent ballet school and dance company in London.

Special interests include the treatment of back and pain, sporting injuries and postural problems using a variety of skills including manual therapy (joint mobilisation and manipulation and soft tissue massage), muscle balance techniques, exercise programs and acupuncture.
